01 Acceptance

By using LearnVela you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. If you set up an account for someone else, you are saying you have authority to accept these Terms for them.

These Terms cover the website at learnvela.in, guest use, signed-in accounts, quizzes, notes, progress, Fast AI, LearnVela Pro, and related support.

02 What LearnVela is

LearnVela is an independent Grade 9 study tool for the 2026 NCERT curriculum. Guests can take quizzes, open revision notes, and keep progress without creating an account. Fast AI (Cerebras first, then Groq if needed) requires sign-in because daily cloud use is counted against an account.

Free signed-in accounts currently get 3 successful Fast AI answers per UTC day. LearnVela Pro is ₹149/month and currently raises that quota to 100 successful answers per UTC day. Core quizzes, notes, and progress stay available on the free tier.

03 Not official exam guidance

LearnVela is meant to complement, not replace, your current textbooks, teachers, school instructions, or official examination guidance.

LearnVela is not NCERT, CBSE, a school, an examination board, or an official partner of those organisations. A practice question is never a promise that the same question will appear in an exam.

04 Younger learners and guardians

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, a child is anyone under 18. LearnVela is built for Grade 9, so typical users are children. DPDP requires verifiable parental or guardian consent before processing a child's personal data. Tracking, behavioural monitoring, and targeted ads directed at children are restricted. School-related exemptions do not cover this commercial study app.

LearnVela operates a parental-consent gate for signed-in Class 9 accounts: under-18 learners provide a guardian email, and cloud progress sync plus Fast AI wait until that guardian opens a one-time confirmation link. Guest quizzes remain available with no identity collection. We do not collect date of birth, Aadhaar, or DigiLocker credentials. This is not a government-ID check and is not certified DPDP compliance. A parent or guardian should still read these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

05 Guests, accounts, and security

You can use quizzes, notes, and progress as a guest. Guest progress can live in that browser's storage. It may not follow you to another device, browser, or profile, and it can disappear if site data is cleared.

If you create an account, provide information that is reasonably accurate and keep your sign-in method to yourself. You are responsible for activity that reasonably belongs to your account. If you think it has been compromised, stop using those credentials and contact support@learnvela.in.

LearnVela may suspend or restrict access where reasonably needed to protect users, investigate abuse, follow the law, or keep the service running.

06 Acceptable use

Do not use LearnVela to:

• break the law or encourage unlawful activity;
• impersonate someone else or misrepresent who you are;
• access another learner's private account or progress;
• bypass sign-in, rate limits, or other security measures;
• attack, overload, or interfere with LearnVela's infrastructure;
• scrape or copy the service in a way that harms it or rebuilds a competing product from substantial original LearnVela material;
• upload malware or content you are not allowed to use;
• use LearnVela to cheat in a way your school or exam rules forbid; or
• present LearnVela output as official NCERT, CBSE, school, or board guidance.

07 Questions you submit

You keep whatever rights you already have in questions or other material you type. You give LearnVela permission to process that material as needed to provide, secure, and maintain the requested feature.

Do not paste unnecessary personal, financial, health, or identification details into a study question. Image questions currently extract visible text on your device where the browser supports it; see the Privacy Policy.

08 LearnVela's original material

LearnVela's original software, interface, branding, and original copy are owned by Divyansh Bamel unless something else is stated.

You get a limited, revocable, non-exclusive licence to use LearnVela for personal, non-commercial study. You may save or print reasonable amounts for your own learning. Do not sell, republish, or systematically copy substantial original LearnVela material without written permission, except where the law already allows it.

09 NCERT, Wikipedia, and other third-party material

LearnVela does not claim ownership of NCERT textbooks, Wikipedia content, trademarks, or other third-party works. Such material remains subject to the rights and terms of its respective owners.

LearnVela does not have written NCERT permission. The public NCERT ePathshala e-content terms we have seen do not allow monetary consideration, commercial use, or financial benefit, directly or indirectly, and they do not allow adapting, translating, altering, summarising, or deriving from that content without written permission. Commercial NCERT use is restricted. These Terms do not invent a written licence.

What the product actually does: it stores extracted textbook chunks in an on-service index and generates answers, notes, and quizzes from that index. It live-checks and links official chapter PDFs on ncert.nic.in. It does not ship those PDFs. When a question falls outside supported textbook material, LearnVela may use a clearly labelled external source such as Wikipedia.

Names such as NCERT, CBSE, Google, Wikipedia, Supabase, Cerebras, Groq, Razorpay, and Vercel are used only to identify those organisations or services.

10 Generated answers and quiz scores

LearnVela uses retrieval, rules, rubrics, and cloud language models. Those systems can misunderstand a question, miss a detail, or grade a written answer differently from a teacher.

Scores, weak-concept lists, and explanations are study aids, not official school marks. Always check high-stakes work against the current official textbook and your teacher.

11 LearnVela Pro and payments

LearnVela Pro is an optional paid plan. The price shown on the Pro page is ₹149/month unless a later page says otherwise. Checkout is handled by Razorpay. LearnVela does not collect or store card numbers, CVV codes, or bank passwords.

• Pro currently increases the signed-in Fast AI quota from 3 to 100 successful answers per UTC day.
• Subscriptions renew unless you cancel before the current paid period ends.
• Cancel on the Pro page or by emailing support@learnvela.in. Access continues until the paid period ends.
• Refunds follow the Cancellation & Refund Policy.

12 Availability

LearnVela is provided as available. Features may change. Hosting, sign-in, payment, and cloud AI providers can affect uptime. No online service can promise zero downtime or zero data loss, especially for guest progress stored only in a browser.

13 Privacy

The Privacy Policy explains guest storage, Supabase accounts, Fast AI cloud processing, count-only telemetry, and how to ask questions about your data. These Terms do not remove privacy or consumer rights that the law does not let you waive.

14 Copyright complaints

If you believe material on LearnVela infringes a right you hold, email support@learnvela.in. Include who you are, the work concerned, the LearnVela page, and why you object. LearnVela may remove or restrict material while reviewing a good-faith complaint.

15 Disclaimers and limits

To the extent the law allows, LearnVela does not promise that every answer, note, quiz, or grade will be complete, current, or right for a particular purpose. Nothing here removes warranties or remedies that Indian law does not allow us to exclude.

To the extent the law allows, LearnVela and its owner are not responsible for indirect loss from relying on the service, from interruption, or from losing device-local guest data. Mandatory consumer remedies stay in place.

16 Third-party services

LearnVela relies on other services (including Supabase, Razorpay, Cerebras, Groq, Google sign-in, and hosting). Those services have their own terms. LearnVela does not control every third-party site you may open from a source link.

17 Changes

These Terms may change when the product or the law changes. The date at the top is the current version. Continued use after an update means the new Terms apply to later use, except where the law requires a different form of consent.

18 Governing law and contact

These Terms are intended to operate under Indian law. Mandatory consumer, privacy, and jurisdiction rights that cannot be contracted away still apply. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a problem informally.
