Class 9 Science study guide
Science works best when you connect a definition to an observation. Read a short section, explain the idea aloud, then test it with a question that asks why—not just what.
A way to practise
Try a motion question
A student walks 20 metres in 4 seconds. What is the average speed?
How to answer: Divide distance by time: 20 m ÷ 4 s = 5 m/s. Include the unit in your answer.

Make your next study session count
- For an experiment, identify the variable changed and the factors kept constant.
- For cells, connect each structure to its function instead of memorising a list.
- For motion, write the formula, substitute the values and check the unit.
